Bursting with activities, Ocean Beach Pleasure Park is a large amusement park situated on the coast in South Shields.  With free admission, over 40 rides and attractions, amusement arcades, mini golf, 10 pin bowling and Quasar Laser there really is something for everyone.  READ MORE (when clicked expands to the rest)

There are lots of things for the little ones to enjoy.  Take a ride on the Pony Express, get dizzy in the teacups or shoot some spooks in the Ghost Hunt.  With game stalls such as Hook a Duck you can leave with some great prizes.

The older and more daring visitors can enjoy the usual stomach churners such as the Waltzer and Twist and those looking for the ultimate thrill can try “Scream” – the only ride of its kind in the UK.  Get comfortable while you are lifted 37m high, held for 15 seconds and then dropped 0-68mph in 2.3 seconds with G Force of 5.5!

For those who enjoy surfing or snowboarding, try out the Urban Wave.  New to Ocean Beach in 2013 the Urban Wave is a new all year round sports activity that can simulate popular boarding such as surfing, wake-boarding, body-boarding and snow-boarding without getting wet!  This is the only surf simulator of its type in the UK which uses a full rotating platform of soft brushes which gives the rider the ability to carve simple or difficult tricks!  You can surf standing up, on your knees or lying down.

For those not keen on rides, there is still plenty to do.  We offer large amusement arcades packed with some great machines.  Try your luck at the grabbers and pushers or enjoy a game of pool or air hockey.

For that ultimate indoor fun head to Quasar – it’s serious fun with a laser gun.  Set inside a 1700 sqft arena and kitted out with a vest and laser gun, the objective is simple – stalk, shoot and rack up the points.  Ideal for birthday parties for the young and old, school outings, corporate team building and so much more.

If you want to take the day a little bit easier, there are options for those that like to relax.  Why not take a stroll along the sea front or hire a pedelo and relax while taking a trip around the Boating Lake in the Marine Park across the road.  We are situated next to a fantastic coastline for a nice walk along the beach with a ice cream at the end of the day.

After all the fun you are bound to have worked up an appetite so where better to eat than one of the Park’s food outlets.  With everything on offer from light bites to meals, hot and cold snacks/drinks and favourites such as candy floss, sugar dummies and hot fresh donuts there is something to suit everyone’s taste.
